I was out of town this weekend.
On the ride back, though, I woke up just as the plane was beginning to descend and decided to snap a picture.It was quick, and not very focused, but I figured I'd post it anyway. Gotta love the view from 30,000 ft. in the air.

I was flying to Arkansas the day after Christmas and the cloud coverage was so thick I couldn't tell if they were clouds or snow (I'm from Hawai'i, so identifying snow from the air isn't a strong point of mine in the first place...), there was absolutely no way to gauge the distance. As we turned, you could see a clear shadow of the plane on top of the clouds and it had a rainbow halo.
Then as we were going through them, everything whited out for a minute or two! Couldn't see ANYTHING at all.
That's a gorgeous shot, though, I don't have my own camera, so I don't do a lot of photography, even though I love taking pictures (I took a photography class in High School).
Maybe I should ask for a camera for my birthday...

That's really good for being taken through a window! Usually airplane windows aren't very easy to take pics out of.
I remember flying over Alaska and Russia into Korea. I got to see Alaska through the air! It was amazing and beautiful and I saw tiny cruise ships in the coves! I really wished I could just like.. parachute down there and drop into a hotel room. Later, we flew over Russia but it was dark. I only saw lights.. I really wanted to see Russia.

It was sunset or sunrise when I saw Alaska. The stuardess was annoying about it though. She told me to close the window! I'm thinking "This is my seat by the window and I'm going to enjoy it. It's not like there's enough light to disturb anyone who's sleeping!"

YEAH!! man, I LOVE sleeping on planes, even though I'm missing a lot, like free food and drinks, not to mention the beautiful views =3 LMAO, yeah, last few times I've taken pictures, I see some sort of reflection of foggy haze because taking off from here, the windows are almost always covered with ice
