My sky changes coloursAs the day fades away
Falling into darkness
Sliding into the cold
And starry night.
Trickling like sand under my skin,
I smile.
I close my eyes
And hide from the world
Wishing the moment would freeze
And I would forever stay
Staring at the sunset.
The stars and the sun fight for glory
A bloodred battlefield, the sky slowly darkens
Cools the heat of war as the sun surrenders
Sleeps as I sleep
Spins around this rotating world
I smile.
I open my eyes.
I see
The sky has been surrendered.
