Ultramarines, 2nd company, tactical squad member, armed with a boltgun. Inspired by Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 tabletop war game. Made for the Half-life 2 mod Exterminatus ( [link] ).

Model created in Milkshape 3D, materials made in Paint Shop Pro 8, rigged, posed and rendered in 3DS Max.

~4000 tris, several separate materials to allow for partial re-skiing to allow for changes of company and chapter later.

I have since added normal and specular maps to this model and taught myself animation in order to get him in-game.
