They were almost like a herd of sheep, all acting as one and following the same single motivation. What had they been doing without a shepherd? Merely lurking about, nibbling at grass?
The flames continued to cackle at him like an old granny with a dry throat. There were just too many to even consider making a stand. Three more came at his flank having somehow made it up, tossing all manner of javelins and gas bombs at his feet. The Bard did what he had to do, huffing down double dose of Turbo, vaulting over the banister and running for his life through the crowd.
