Description
I made a crochet-hook case (or any kind of case, I guess you could put a pen in it or something else) out of three layers, which was really hard to sew together. I can't say I'm proud of my stitching, but I'm pretty happy with the rest of it!The front facing layer (the only one you can actually see in the picture, sorry) is aida cloth with the cross-stich pattern on it. For the back I made a knit piece in the 'Diagonal Scallop stitch'. But I didn't want to just sew those two together, because then the inside would be the back of the cross-stitched piece, which looked messy. So I ended up making a second knit layer, and sewing that one on on all four sides, and then sewing on the actual backing, only on just three sides, to make a pouch.
Yeah, I don't really know why I told you guys all that.
The pattern was from Better Homes and Gardens 'Beautiful Cross-Stitch' book, published by Meredith Books ®
