Description This is first completed work of non-poetry and prose art. I doubt most people will find it particularly good, but it's a start. It took me a long time to decide whether to put it here or in animal photography, but I decided that this one is very noticably different from the original, the lighting has been unimaginably changed, and a signifigant section has been cut out and blacked. The picture is of one of my dogs, his name is Simon, as you may have guessed from the title of the piece. I really want lots of critical feedback on this one, as I am anxious to better my work in this medium.

Pretty dog. I like the way you used the lighting effects to create the shadows.

I think that picture you linked to was preety cool myself.

Anyway, the lighting in the original picture was terrible, which was why I edited it so heavily. By yes, i'm not really to anxious to alter picture. Although in the not to distant future I want to start working exlcusively in greyscale, which means some computer edits on my digital pictures until I can get access to some good equipment.

Well i'm not qualified to give you lots of intense critisism. I like the pic, the shadow area suggests the shape of an eye. Cat's eye, for some reason. And Simon looks like a cute dog.
What I can say is Don't be too eager to manipulate photos that wook good on their own. Copy and paste this: [link] into your browser to see what happens when someone goes over board with filters and things to make it "cool." I hate to admit it but that image is my fault. See what I'm getting at? Sometimes you take a photo well enough that you are better off rolling it the way it is.
