Description
The Pridelands didn't suffer its first frought under Scar's reign.

Years before, under the reign of Queen Uru and her consort Ahadi, the dry season had come. As usual, many herds had moved on to lands with more to offer. The territory of the Pridelands was significantly smaller before Mufasa took the throne and helped the pride gain more land. Uru didn't have the heart to fight for more land, it was cruel in her eyes. The other prides needed watering holes just as much as the Pridelands did, it wasn't fair to sieze them.

Ahadi, however, disagreed. He didn't care for the circle of life. No matter how many times Uru had tried to convince him, Ahadi would not change his ways.

"You are just as selfish as your father." Uru frowned as she shielded her cubs from Ahadi's furious roar. Taka was only a few weeks old, born during the worst drought the lands had ever felt.

Ahadi huffed and dismissed her. "If we don't do anything about it, we'll die! You're selfish for putting our cubs in danger of starving."

Uru was horrified by his response. "And your plans of war are not? Face it, Ahadi, this is the safest option. If we wait this dry season out, the herds will soon return, as will the water. As the Queen, I will have the final say in the matter. We are not fighting for territory."

Turning his back on Uru, Ahadi snarled. "You're just not fighting hard enough! How can you sit by while our Kingdom suffers? Our cubs?"

Uru interjected, "My Kingdom. Watch yourself, Ahadi." Her fierce frown softening. "I can't risk losing Taka and Mufasa... I can't go through losing my cubs again."

After that, Ahadi thought it was best not to retort. If Uru didn't change her ways, she'd leave the pride starving. Ahadi had to act.
