Nightmare's my best and one of my favorite characters in Soul Calibur. This is a pretty old picture, which I did when the game was new still. I kinda like that vein-ish monstrous form in combination with his armor. I like how I drew him here, with a sort of caricature form, though I think the background sucks. It looks kinda crude to me, but I think I can do better now, fortunately. I wish I could erase that "Nightmare" text too, but oh well. I've kinda found pictures better when you're not naming it within it ... seems kind of cheezy to me now.
This was done with a deep-shade graphite pencil (number 5, I think?), with finger rubbing techniques for shading.
