This was my entry to the Sonic CD contest.I am most sad because I didn't get a reply

Alright now that the contest is over and I can think rationally I think I'll write a proper description for this pic
I really like the idea of time travel, and since SCD has a lot of it, I wanted it to be the focal point of the piece. Also while sonic is awesome and all Metal is the real star so I used him to show off the different time zones. To the left is the past, to the right the bad future and at the top the present with a busted ass Metal Sonic just fresh from being beaten by Sonic! Of course Sonic gets a decent amount of exposure, tis his game afterall, and it was obvious to place him in the good future with a brokeass Eggman and the lovesick Amy Rose. Amy rose in particular was fun to draw as it's the first time I've ever drawn classic Amy, I spent ages on her to get her right instead of looking like sonic in a dress...
Also a little note...I did this in 12 hours on the day before the submission date!...andthatthismaybemylastdeviationonthisaccount.

Y'know, I didn't pick up on this 3 years ago, but the general actions happening in this piece are actually kind of similar to my entry. The main difference (besides winning and being, y'know, GOOD) is that I focused on the aspect of Eggman being sad about the loss of Metal Sonic, while this piece is more about the victory of saving time and the restoration of order. Mhmmmm the contest called for something a bit more creative and since Metal's a robot I could do anything to him, so it seemed only natural to have him be the main signifier of the different time zones, also rusty robot parts ftw!
