Not entirely sure, but I think it has to do with her obsession with being the best Evangelion Pilot.

If you analyze her mindset through most of the show [up until the End Of Evangelion events], she's too obsessed with having her mind on being the best pilot that she overlooks [and figures out] things that were around [Ex: the secret of the AT-Field] up until she actually focuses on them. So I think she leaves her A10 clips on to always show that she's a Eva pilot foremost and regards everything else when she's not trying to gain people's approval or praise.

I think it follows the mentality of someone who wears glasses instead of contacts. Sure, aside from technical aspects [Ex: Contacts can be altered when someone has allergies - and in a nutshell - cause their eyesight to change to adjust to the contacts], and comfort reasons, glasses serve as a representation of identiy, per se. You recognize someone quicker through a icon of sorts, just like Asuka with her A10 clips. If someone's glasses were sitting on a table, then your mind jumps to their association and thus gives a person a extension of their identity.

This is one of my favorite Asuka and EVA-02 arts I've ever seen. You captured her personality in the series very well. Once again, your "Barons of Hell" series is the best art series out there. A 10/10 for all!

I sorta stumbled upon my method of coloring and been learning new methods ever since. Do you use the gradient mesh tool a lot or do other ways of your colors? C:
