Description Oh yeah, back to Pokémon art, awright! Now it's starting to feel normal around my gallery!

Seeing as how I'm pretty fond of these two Pokémon, I figured I'd make fan characters out of them both, why not. These two are... friends, I suppose you could say? That may be kind of stretching it. Think of it as... a Billy & Mandy relationship. Or the other way around, for respective purposes. Yeah, like that.

====

To the left, we have Athena, a female Gallade (yeah yeah shut yer traps (hehe, traps)). There's not much to say about her without writing a wall, but basically, as a child she was always fond of close-range combat and found the thrill of hand-to-hand fighting very exciting and thrilling whenever she saw elder Gallades duke it out with one another. She was a pretty boyish kid growing up anyway, and always preferred to attack physically rather than specially. When she got her hands on a Dawn Stone -- after wandering off into a cave where there were rumored to be rare deposits of bare Dawn Stone ores -- it managed to actually work, since her body had a bit more of a masculine build slant and chemistry to it compared to her many female peers. Although, because she wasn't quite masculine enough, a trait or two that would've applied had she evolved naturally into a Gardevoir 'spilled' into her Gallade form, such as the 'skirt,' which resembles the plates that go around a gladiator's hips, as well as her hands and her gentle-ish eyes. She also has slippery control over her blades, as they have a tendency to extend at random times, yet 'sheathing' them takes effort that puts a painful toll on her bones and muscles.

In society, the result really wasn't in her favor, as she was avoided and quietly spoken of in vain, seeing as how this broke a tradition that her kind have been used to seeing for years, thus it was hard for them to accept her. At first she let it slide and was proud of her form, but as the distance grew around her, her urge to stay faded until she had enough and left her home on her own, figuring she doesn't need them if she won't be treated well. Seeing as how she has little experience in the ways of fending for herself, she had to resort to some petty tactics; thievery, stealth, deceit, and other methods of survival that eventually grew on her personality, making her coldly-spoken, defiant, dishonest and careless, such characteristics never heard of from a regular Gallade.

To the right, there is Takeshi, an upbeat, pacifistic, jolly male Bisharp. Takeshi had a fairly leisurely childhood... almost too leisurely. His parents were a little paranoid about raising him, so he was always sheltered from the slightest bit of danger, especially after having lost the boy as a very young Pawniard in the forest at the dead of dusk. He was found safe, if rather traumatized due to his fear and confusion when futilely stepping through the darkness. This resulted in him developing a fear of the dark -- ironic, isn't it? (Due to this, he learned a really specific technique for trying to go to sleep; it involves positioning his armor in just enough moonlight for him to stare into the gleaming highlights until he felt calm, numb and tired until he dozed off.) His parents did their best to reassure him about his fears and other anxieties by letting him enjoy himself and play around with his friends and fellow Pawniard peers, which is why he's very friendly and bright because all that attention has suppressed such thoughts.

Takeshi has gathered a lot of knowledge ontaking care of himself as he grew up, as his parents were not big on fighting, but were skillful in other areas, such as utilizing resources to support themselves in terms of nourishment and making shelter. This meant once he was free and was allowed to steer his life however he pleased, he proved to become a really good handyman and even a good cook. He has a very happy-go-lucky attitude, and is always willing to make friends, as he was taught to always provide help for others whenever one believes they need it. He's anxious about making enemies, since his lack of physical training has made him unsure of what to do whenever he is in danger. In such scenarios, more often than not he ends up running away, or first throws either a Sucker Punch or a Substitute, THEN runs away. So yeah, he's a bit of a coward, but not a useless coward.

Together, the relationship between Athena and Takeshi is pretty rocky. Takeshi sees Athena as a very admirable person, especially for her strength and unyielding bravery when in the face of trouble. Despite her sour attitude, Takeshi is always trying to cheer her up and make good friends with her, as well as offer advice and honest answers to her problems whenever she seems to be struggling. Not to mention he feels like he MUST tag along with her, rooted in the lingering childish need for company whenever he is not sure of what to do on his own. He also sticks with her since, to him, Athena looks like the kind of person who needs someone to fall back on -- figuratively speaking.

On Athena's end, she finds Takeshi annoying since the moment she found him, especially now that he tags along with her wherever she goes, since neither of them can really find a place to settle. However, Athena's thoughts are surprisingly mixed towards Takeshi. His cheerfully energetic demeanor grates on the girl's nerves, and yet she can never really bring herself to tell him to go away. Maybe it's because Takeshi has skills that she doesn't have that can prove useful... or maybe it's because he's the first person in ages before her evolution that has treated her with indifference. Blissful indifference, at that. Something she -- unadmittingly -- is very grateful for.

Sooooo... yeah, I guess that does it for these two, huh? Yeah, I talk a lot, but I DID try to keep it simple and not TOO long. And no, they're not lovers. Just... an awkward duo, you know? That sort of thing.

Hope I didn't bore you all with all of that.

I know right, that's what makes her awesome. Strong girls hell yeah

Indeed... as much as I love Bisharp (debatably my top fave Pokémon), getting all of its features to look right can be a chore. D8

Ha, I think it'd become a far less dangerous action figure!

At least it isn't as detailed as Gyarados. Or Gigalith. Or -- dare I say it -- Arceus. D;
