Description
They say the hands of time only go one way.But I've seen with my own eyes that is not always the way.
A skip, a leap,
a jumbled heap of time pulls back one step.
Just one step back,
I wasn't keeping track,
and now I'm trying to forget.
I had my chance to take advantage of time
as the clock stepped back instead of chimed.
I let it go,
so foolish of me,
I won't get that chance again.
Unless of course,
from the fault in your make-up,
I can be graced with time to take up new habits and let the old ones die hard.
A cloud of dust behind me,
now clock stop ticking back!
I was able to retrace my steps,
but if I do again I might mess up instead.
I dare not sit and watch you again,
if you give me another chance,
would I mess up and miss my que again?
I still watch you skip and leap,
like I skip the time to eat.
Contradictions,
oh there I go again.
Time,
you're fickle like a man indeed.
Father Time,
stop messing with me!
