Round and round we go,Whirling and twisting,
Our convulsions like the
Winding throes of a deadly
And now dying serpent.
Two pairs of fangs
And even worse,
Two sets of deadly venom
Tipping our words
And turning us on ourselves
As the pain goes on,
And on,
And gains in strength
Until it is most unbearable.
Until, at last, we lay still,
Unmoving, surrendered to defeat.
Two separate, limp bodies
Thrust aside in a dull,
Bloody, passionate war.
