Cryptic Squadron was a former Imperial TIE Squadron, although their light green squad markings made them stand out like a sore thumb, they were well-skilled pilots and managed to survive beyond the Battle of Jakku, joining the Firs Order, and then becoming a part of the Hux First Order Remnant, onboard the Imperatrix when the First Order fell to the Resistance and Orion Spur Alliance.

They faced several Orion Spur Alliance squadrons until they came face to face with Dass Drumheller in his TIE Fer-De-Lance. He single-handedly dealt significant losses to Cryptic Squadron, forcing them to be disbanded after the Second Remnant War.
