With some focus Lari is able to use the trident to fire energy blasts, or to preform more advanced hydromancy on increasingly larger scales with the weapon acting as a focus.

As Silver’s daughter, and growing up in Silver’s court, Lari has trained with and mastered every type of weapon one could imagine, spears, swords, bows, guns, glaves, scythes, daggers, mace’s, flails, etc. Lari maintains a rather large personal armory of these weapons, and tends to have at least one physical weapon with her at all times as an alterative to her trident, the weapon type often varying on lari’s mood, or what sort of fight she expects to encounter that day.

In addition to her personal collection of weapons, Lari also maintains an extensive collection of armor of different types and styles, some simply for aesthetic purposes, others mementos from now long extinct civilizations, and more as armor types for specific situations, heavy armor for leading sieges on stronger species, light armor for sneaking, medium armor for more flexibility. Lari views her armor and weapon collections the same way many gems from purples court view dresses and accessories, something a girl can never have too many of.

Lari possesses the ability to manipulate and control water as well as a typical Lapis Lazulie, able to form the water into any shape her mind can imagine and direct it with great easy, using the water to from weapons, appendages, tools, and so forth.

While all gems are capable of shapeshifting and assuming other forms, Lari has spent considerable effort mastering this skill, and has developed a combat form made from what Lari considers the most dangerous/ advantageous physical traits of various species she has encountered while helping silver to pacify hostile species for the Gem Empire. While Lari’s combat from is extremely effective, she tends not to use it for two reasons, because the form is a chimera of different traits never meant to be combined it takes considerably more effort to hold and maintain that form then standard shapeshifting, Lari herself only being able to maintain the form for a few minutes in a fight, and second, as effective as the form is in combat, Lari finds the form to be that of a hideous monster.

Lari’s combat form consists of two long powerful legs that have a second reverse jointed knee, optimized for running and kicking and ending in a large raptor like foot with massive claws, a long segmented prehensile bony tail ending in a blade like set of locking claws able to grasp objects. The arms are a pair of long flexable tentacle like appendages that split into multiple tentacle ‘fingers’ covered in serrated suckers and small blades meant to cut anything they come into contact with. Lari’s head sits on a thick snake like neck, her eye mounted on it’s own tentacle stalk, her mouth consists of a series of large predatory incisors flanked by a pair of massive mandibles.

While Larimar failed to inherit Purple Diamonds skills in the arts, she did inherit her mother’s fun loving, celebratory nature and more lustivius proclivities. Unlike Silver, Lari loves to throw parties and socialize, inviting as many guests as possible, and celebrating anything she can think of, or at times simply throwing a party because they are fun and she thinks those around her should relax, or she’s board. Lari’s parties often, or almost always, devolve into full scale orgies, with Lari either in the center of it all, or off to the side marveling at the depravity she has caused. Because Lari has such difficulties with the arts, and spends so much more time with silver then purple, Lari tends to emulate Purple in her youth, delighting in finding naïve uninitiated gems and taking them down a world of lust and desire, exposing them to every fetish and carnal delight she can imagine, then showing off her latest conquest/ work of art to Purple Diamond when next she sees her.

Lari’s greatest flaw is likely that she treats most things as games and sources of entertainment, what would for most be a life or death duel is to her a fun way to pass the time, and a military campaign to wipe out a civilization is treated as though a game of chess with a friend; as a result, Lari is more prone to risk taking behavior, and her style of fighting and strategy tends to incorporate openings, faints, and dramatic displays of skill that have no real effect on the fight other than to amaze and bewilder a crowd of onlookers; while this sometimes works to her advantage cowing an adversary with the thought that she is so far above them that this is just a game to her, it also works against her when faced with more cool headed opponents whom are better able to take advantage of such openings in Lari’s guard.

Lari also developed a love for combat and strategy, having been exposed to war games and duels from a very young age onwards, Lari perused and excelled at subjects relating to combat, constantly earning her the love and praise of her mother; however because she saw Purple diamond far less frequently she developed a need to constantly prove her worth to purple as a daughter, knowing that silver would always be proud of and love her no matter what, Lari felt Purple might not simply because she failed to emulate her or spend as much time with her as Silver.

While Silver tried to ensure Lari and Lapis both spent time with herself and Purple diamond, so that their daughters would know both their mothers love, and not feel as if there were any favorites, this somewhat failed, Lapis spending considerably more time in Purples court, and Lari spending more in Silvers, where this plan fell apart the most however was with the sisters relation to each other, with the divide of one daughter always in the court of one of her mothers, the two grew up rarely seeing each other except for the rare occasion when they would both be in the same court at the same time as their schedules overlapped, as a result, Lari and Lapis did not really think of themselves as sisters, and more as two individuals who shared common linage.

At the relatively young age of only a thousand or so, Lari realized she was in love with Lapis, having noticed that every time she saw her sister spending time with the multitudes of quartz soldiers it made her increasingly more and more jealous, however, as Lari is slightly less in touch with her feelings it was not until she told her pearl what she was feeling that she realized she was in love with her twin. After making this discovery Lari poured all her effort and energy into making Lapis hers, and while the obvious thing to do would have been to confess her feelings to Lapis, Lari instead opted to entice her with extravagant dates, surprise rendezvous, showering her with gifts, and impromptu make out sessions until Lapis asked Lari what it was all about, at which time she finally confessed her feelings.

After admitting her feelings to Lapis the two formally entered into a relationship, and Lari developed a habit of sneaking over to whichever court Lapis was currently in for surprise visits, often times this meant purples court, and over time, Lari developed a taste for being dramatic, often pretending to be a knight or hero there to rescue the fair maiden or princess from her imprisonment, however, as Lari was not very good at impromptu, whenever Lapis would change the script and pretended to be the hero, or the villainess Lari ended up stumbling over herself and being entirely at Lapis mercy. Lari also made more effort to improve her artistic skills by having lapis teach her, however this did not result in much change, as Lari would spend her lessons ogling Lapis, or playing naughty school girl trying to turn the lesson into a make out session.

After Lapis was given her own personal retainer of Quartz body guards and fell in love with her Angel Aura Quartz Lari became somewhat more jealous and territorial over Lapis, wanting to share her with other gems even less, the exceptions being Angel, whom lapis loves to much for Lari to ever harm, Rainbow because she is simply to lazy to ever interfere, and Snow who is far to timid to ever make herself an obstacle, the rest of Lapis body guards and admires however have all had a turn reforming their body’s amidst the garbage of one of silvers ships.
