Although scarlet could never run up a vertical wall, or across a single wall over a long empty chasm; provided there are hand holds to grip along the way Scarlet is able to easily traverse these and other obstacles.

The greatest problem with Scarlets abilities and moves is that as they require no special powers to preform, anyone can learn to do what she does if they wanted to invest the time and energy to do so. However as most gems are gifted with natural ability’s or forms that already give them an advantage she has yet to meet anyone who uses a style of combat even remotely smiler to her own.

Scarlet stands at roughly six feet, well within the norm for a pearl, this however is her only standard and acceptably pearl like feature. Scarlet has a toned and muscled physic equivalent to that of a triathlon runner or light weight prize fighter, short messy hair that looks like minor bed head that she lightly patted down, the hair itself goes fades from a reddish-orange at her crown to a reddish-purple at the tips. Her jaw is lined with predator like incisors suited for eating meat rather than the proper even teeth of a normal gem; as a result Scarlet rarely smiles in a way that would show off her teeth. Her fingers end in pointed claw like short nails, something she used to hide by always wearing a pair of gloves. Currently scarlet wears a pair of black combat boots, matching black dress pants and an untucked short sleeved white button up blouse which hides her gem, another feature of herself that scarlet doesn’t like displaying because of it’s obvious imperfections and deformities.

Scarlet is predominantly confidant and fearless willing to try almost anything, and nearly impossible to intimidate, having spent her life as her mother’s body guard she understands the ins and outs of court very well even though she struggles understanding why it is the way it is. As a result of being a body guard for so long Scarlet is very protective of people she becomes close to. The root of her fortitude stems from the way she was always treated by other gems on home world, which is also the source of her flaws. Because she was often called worthless, hideous, insulted, and threated constantly behind her back but well within ear shot Scarlet has no confidence in her appearance and believes herself to be more or less an unlovable hideous freak, additionally, she has very poor social skills and does not know how to interact with strangers or new people for the first time, coming across as either shy and demur, pushy and condescending, or utterly without respect for normal social etiquette, norms, or personal space. Scarlet is well aware of all her personal limitations and would be the first to acknowledge that she has a temper, that she is easily frustrated, and has difficulty understanding advanced things and that she would much rather have a problem she can punch.

After exterminating all local resistance and claiming the planet in the gem of the Gem Empire Silver chose the site for the very first gem to be grown. She chose the site of the most hard fought battle and greatest victory in her military campaign, then used a spec of metal from her own sword to act as the nucleus around which scarlets pearl would form. However the site itself was far from ideal for growing a pearl, the surrounding waters were contaminated from the fighting, the geology was unstable, and the currents were far stronger here than elsewhere. All of these various factors contributed to the defects in Scarlets formation, however Silver Diamond viewed Scarlet as precious and representative of herself and her achievements, having been made on the first world she had conquered, on the site of the world’s, and to that point, her, greatest battle, and using a piece of her own sword to act as the nuclease; Silver Diamond viewed Scarlet not only as a symbol but as a sort of daughter as she was also the very first gem Silver had seeded.

Her mother listed to her case and agreed, she also sent her fleet into deep space choosing to remain neutral, then joined the war with Scarlet as Smokey Quartz. Scarlet and Smokey’s world of choice for their rebellion was one of Silvers newer gem colony worlds run by White Azezulite. Sometime after White Azezulite self-transmuted into Black Azezulite Scarlet tried to reason with her aunt, unfortunately Black Azezulite could not be swayed by emotional arguments and was able to easily slay.
