Duke was an ARC Trooper who served within the 850th Legion. He was known to be a calm, thoughtful and intelligent person. He was the type of person who liked to think very carefully about how he would act depending on the situation and where he was. Being a prudent, logical and tactical person. He was also quite ingenious, managing to create ingenious and complex traps just using garbage or things he found in nature, likewise he was also able to create more primitive weapons only with garbage or natural materials. Duke once got lost in a forest during an exploration mission. Duke and the group he was a part of had been ambushed by a group of Trandoshan separatists. Duke's group had been completely wiped out, but Duke had managed to escape with his life. Lost in the forest and with no way to communicate with the rest of the legion, due to the Trandoshan cut off communications, Duke knew that his only way to escape that forest was to find the Trandoshan base and use the enemy's communicators to be able to communicate with the 850th Legion.
Duke made a count of all the weapons he still had and the ammunition he had. He even created a bow and several arrows, in addition to normal arrows, he was still able to create some fire and explosive arrows. With some stealth tactics and several traps set up throughout the forest, Duke was able to pick off his enemies one by one. He was so quick to act that his enemies didn't even have time to communicate that they were being attacked. At a certain point, the Trandoshan, realizing that more and more troops were missing, began to retreat to the base. Duke followed them, and after discovering the base, and seeing that the base had few enemies protecting it, he decided to take action. Using his explosive and encidiary arrows, Duke spread chaos, especially when the arrows hit the highly explosive fuel storage. In the midst of chaos and smoke, Duke infiltrated the base and using his pistols and a vibroblade, he was eliminated the last enemies present in the base. After taking over the base, Duke was able to communicate with the 850th Legion forces that were close to the planet's orbit.
After all that, Duke was considered a hero, and Duke's teammates who had died during the mission received their heroic burials.
