Eli Dwayne, was a Jedi Master who served as a Jedi General in the Great Army of the Republic. Dwayne was responsible for leading the 628th Legion alongside Senior Commander Darkness.
Dwayne was a highly respected Jedi within both the Jedi Order and the army. He a wise person and an extrategist and born leader, in addition to being an incredible duelist and skilled in the use of the Force. He has been through countless battles and always won them all, including he was one of the jedis who participated in the first battle of Geonosis, and managed to get out alive.
He also had an excellent bond of camaraderie with his clone troopers, especially with Darkness who became one of Dwayne's best friends.
Dwayne was one of the few to make it out of Order 66 alive, because he was in the right place at the right time. Dwayne was alone on a covert mission on a breakaway planet when Order 66 was executed. He was able to sense through the force what was happening across the galaxy, and he couldn't believe it. After seeing the news and the establishment of the new Galactic Empire, Dwayne realized that the dark era had arrived. He decided to try to hide and look for other surviving Jedi, but things were getting more and more complicated, Darkness and the rest of the 628th Legion were hunting Dwayne across the galaxy. Dwayne knew he should fear his ex men, he knew well what the capacity of the 628th legion troopers were, after all these troopers were considered elite within the Republic army.
In all of the encounters Dwayne had with the 628th legion troopers, he always avoided using lethal force on the clones, he wasn't sure why, but he thought that somehow those weren't his companions, they were behaving in a different way. Strangely, the men he fought would be unable to attack him that way, any clone would be unable to attack a jedi so easily, unless somehow they were being forced to.
Over time Dwayne was able to hide from the Empire's radar. During the time he was in hiding , Dwayne focused on investigating all the secrets that surrounded the Chancellor , Order 66 and all the clones . And in time he was able to discover all the secrets, secrets that horrified him. Later he would join the Rebel Alliance in the fight against the Empire, at that time he no longer considered himself a jedi, he had abandoned this life, now he was just a force user.
