She looks bored and worried at the same time! I really enjoy all the details in this, it's pretty darn amazing! The wall paper and drapes with their elaborate patterns, the pillow under her arm, the silly kitty slippers…although I do find the little stuffed cat nailed to the shelf a touch disturbing. Congrats on the DD!

Nice work, but the character doesn't seem to be reading. The eyes seem to be looking off to the left side of the image and not down towards the book. She also looks angry with the ears back and down, the mouth looking like it is turned down and her tense posture.

Perhaps that's the point? She's looking at whoever is observing the picture as if one was interrupting her reading time.
