Beautiful. I think in Hungarian these flowers are called hortensias...

looks totally amazing. i love your colouring. so gentle and light but gives excelent depth as well. the details are phenominal. the purplish blue was a much better choise to contrast her body than the black you used last time.

Wow, I honesty think this is one of your best pieces (except of course, for Chester, but then, I have personal stake in that. ). You captured the nuances of her expression and physiognomy so well and I love her delicate wings!

I used to have about five...but then we had to transplant them and my dogs dug them up *shakes head* Over $100 in flowers and pffft...taken out by a puppy's paw...just like my rose tree *tear*
Ah well, such is life while it is regretable.
I hope youre Hydrangea come in splendidly!

Oh no!!! Bad dog! I don't have to worry about dogs tearing up my plants, the rabbits do a good enough job eating them. There's a reason why God made dogs and rabbits so cute - I can't really stay angry at them for acting within their nature. Hopefully you'll be able to replant when your dogs become less curious (my little dog stopped digging and chewing everything in sight once she got a bit older).

We just aren't going to plant where the dogs can get to them anymore, and as far as the rose tree was conserned...that was a 9 year old St. Bernard's fault...
But really we haven't been able to garden much in recent years as much as it pains me, ah well, we can at least take care of our plants that have survived the wicked weather of the past few years.
