a design i cooked up based on a auto knife mechanism using a chain drive. the way it work's is you pull the lever away from you and the dull blade springs open. the blade is held open by the spring tension allowing it to glide when the blank side strikes . the major problem is the plate i added to take the cutting pressure . they all broke . vs two will be all metal just to take the strain
