Description
Imagine an an alternate universe where Columbia Pictures Television Distribution had a separate logo during 1994 to 1995, this is what it would've looked like.Logo: We see the animation from the 1993 Columbia Pictures logo starting with the Torch Lady coming into view, abet zoomed-in and sped-up, causing it to be revealed that it's in a gold frame on a blue-background, once the zooming has stopped, the words "COLUMBIA PICTURES TELEIVISON DISTRIBUTION" fades in along with the Sony byline.
Variant: There is a longer version that is the same length as the 1993 Columbia Pictures logo, and there is no speed-up.
FX/SFX: The sped-up zooming, the animation from the 1993 Columbia Pictures logo, and the text fading in.
Music/Sounds: The 1993 CPT fanfare composed by Dave Grusin. The longer variant has the piano version of the Columbia Pictures fanfare from the 1993 Columbia Pictures logo.
Availability: Rare. It was used in tandem with the 1993 CPTD logo, but the latter was more common, and the former only lasted a year, made even worse, that it may get plastered over by the infamous Sony Pictures Television logo, while the longer variant is often deleted out.
Editor's Note: A stunningly good logo that was just as exquisite as the logo it was being used alongside with, but the fact it was horribly short-lived hurts it, combined with the fact it's plastered over by the infamous Sony Pictures Television logo nowadays.
