Description That day we stood beside the sea
I still recall what she said to me:
"The ocean always ebbs and goes
according to the moon it flows
sometimes high tide, sometimes low
waves arise as great winds blow"

But I did not care for pointless quips
after all, I sail no ocean ships
but she said, "There's one ship we all must steer,
The ship of life through all our years
and the sea of fate is just as rough
to this tiny vessel, however tough"

We saw the sun fall below the beach
its glimmering light just beyond our reach
and sometime that night she put up sail
as I watched from the shore to no avail
for a final glimpse of my seabound friend
who's got far to sail before the end
