Description
Do you remember the bright April daywith its hazy sun we spent wondering
just where it was
we were going?
You said, "Going nowhere, going fast,
your boyhood love's not meant to last"
and I wrote it off as
the silliest thing
And do you recall how the sun did fall
into a night so bright we couldn't tell
exactly what it was
we were doing?
I said, "Dancing nowhere, dancing slow,
my sorrow is you have to go"
You told me sorrow's not as bad as
it may seem
You took me out and pointed far,
said, "Somewhere there's your shining star,
into the sky you'll rise and fly
and one night so bright you just may find
the one you've been searching after"
So now you've gone and I'm still here
forever those words I will hold dear
and so every night I watch the sky
waiting for my chance to fly
And catch that shining star
forever after
