EDIT 2019: Just found an old notebook with an accompanying poem for this picture in:As Luna falls in screaming plunge
Celestia, tearful, prepares to lunge.
One cries "Vengeance!"
The other "Wait!"
But both are drawn toward their fate.
Dark meets day, moon and sun,
Two exist in a space for one.
The world turns red,
The sky is gone,
Magic flashes and night is done.
2017:
"Luna, no!"
Celestia and Luna's great battle, just before Luna transforms and Celestia is gathering energy to blast her into the moon.
I actually won the art contest at Ponycon UK 2017 with this painting! Awesome to have won.
