But I think it's easy to tell the difference with which one's ours because my Totodile have a unique chest plate-armor that I designed for him

Sounds just like my first Totodile in Silver! I think they look their best as Totodiles.

Remember: in Mystery Dungeon Blue I became a Totodile, but I evolved until I was a Feraligatr to be able to complete the more difficult missions...

There is still a Totodile on that team, however.

You don't have to, I just chose to.

Anyway, I'm not evolving my new Charmander form. That form is going to stay unevolved.
