What's the worth of a herd without a single member? Nothing but a desperate stallion and zero followers to support him. That was exactly what Atticus was so keen on solving.
He made his way through the valley, he was so sure he heard someone replying to his calls. It seemed like nothing was there but grass, until he spotted her; a gorgeous dun mare standing on a pool water. Their eyes met and there was no hesitance on the male's part, his legs moved before his mind did and soon he stood next to her.
"You're smaller than I thought you'd be." was the first thing she commented.
"You're prettier than I thought you'd be." a confident Atticus replied.
"And bolder, seems like."
They chatted back and forth, even if it was mostly Atticus carrying the topics. He could only hope he'd charm this mare just enough for her to stay.
