The sizes are based on screenshots from the shows being brought into the 3d software. I normally select scenes that show the robot next to a human or a car to get a good size comparison.

well i had to watch a couple of episodes to find a spot where we see the guys outside the Voltron lions. Then i imported those shots into the 3d program and scaled the model until it matched the size comparison as shown in the cartoon. There are some shots where you see the guys entering the lions from below. Those are a pretty good reference.

Oh, that's really interesting! I was asking because the "official" height of Golion is 60m, but... haha, I guess they weren't really too meticulous with the animation back then.

Yea i noticed that a bunch of them are drawn bigger than the official heights. Well do you think i should go off of the official height then? It will be a pretty easy edit for me to make. Currently they are all based on my own observations and calculations.

Hmm... well, the Japanese approach when they do their lineups for stuff like Super Robot Wars is to use the "official" heights, since classic mecha series like Mazinger, Raideen, and Steel Jeeg just tended to be really inconsistent in how they actually draw the robots from episode to episode. I think given that it might be best to use the official heights?

It is up to you, though -- seeing what the heights "really" are based on the animation is really interesting in itself. And it's awesome how many of the heights did come out accurate to the official heights from your 3D software -- the Valkyrie and Gundam are spot-on!

Of course if you do decide to use the official heights and need any help finding them, feel free to let me know.

Nice, I like how you included Getter 1. I wonder where Getter Emperor would fit on this chart.

Unicron is a planet, it's not a mystery where he would be on the list.

They count as mechs, as that's how they're presented at first. To elaborate further is a huge spoiler.
