Description
Located between Angola and Namibia, Xindonga, officially the People’s Republic of Xindonga was a former Portuguese Colonial Protectorate in which ethnically the Xindonga People dominated. It bordered Angola in the South and Namibia in the West and North and Zambia in the Eats. It mainly consisted of plains, marshes, forests/ jungles and small villages, with the capital city of Freedomia being one of the few places that was actually a city. The local Black Rinocerous in the Jungles id famous, but also nearly extinct because of increasing poaching. The capital city and other major so called cities were quit advanced, but overall few in numbers and total population. Local villages, Xorio often supply themselves and the main exports were coffee, coal, help and tin, which lead to some over-exploitation in the Longa Mavinga National Park. The poverty of the local people and regime also made it a place in which local clans and militia would grow coca and poppy to produce cocaine and heroine to sell. Rinaldo Bosquimano a local British-Portuguese ancestral possessing mercenary would lead a military coup in the nation state of Xindonga, proclaiming himself to be the Eternal-General-President, but not much would change for the Xindongans while he surrounded himself with all kinds of luxurious items and riches. Opposition resulted in whole villages being burned and pillaged, while some opposition forces like General Ovidio Roque faced exile while Bosquimano build one of the biggest and most luxurious palaces in the continent. Much pf the local Coca and Poppy Plantations had been established on his orders to boost the countries miserable economy, but rivaling cartels quickly began to found a local rebellion against his regime. Led by Selva the rebellion consisted mainly on Xindongans who suffered under the regime and even would recruit heroes from other places in the world to help out, but many soon opposed this when they learned many rebel leaders were not better then Bosquimano. Most Xindongan spoke English and Portuguese and so had no problem communicating with the mercenaries supporting their rebellion from neighboring country bases.
Since the Communist backed Rebellion and support during the Cold War a small Chinese and Russian minority group also lived in Xindonga, mainly it’s capital. Clothes were a mix of traditional and European clothing styles, with the former most prominent in the villages and the later mostly seen in the majority of the capital. Most Caucasians were tourists, or foreign advisers aiding the new government, while the Xindonga People’s Defense Force had an elite force known as a Lion Platoon who would wear Mane shoulder patches and carry traditional swords and rifles modeled after spears beside their regular weaponry. The Christian Church in Freedomia is a Catholic one build by Portuguese Missionaries when they first arrived in the region, even if the Anglican Church of Southern Africa also had a small church and community in the capital city. Some also once worshiped the Goa’uld, but that has long become an underground cult. Ancient Xindonga had once traded with Carthaginian and Egyptians, but became forgotten when their empires fell, until the Portuguese Explorer Feliciano Macedo rediscovered the locals in 1452, coming from the Portuguese Angola Colony at the Coast, of which Xindonga became a protectorate in 1584. Later Portuguese brought first Chinese coal mine laborers to the region, who were the first to hunt the locally holy Black Rinoceros to make it into all kind of medicine, which brought the species close to extinction later on. With the local rise of Nationalist, and armed partisan warfare, Xindonga later regained independence in 1971 and renamed it’s capital into Freedomia when their Kingdom transformed into a parliamentarian republic, the People’s Republic of Xindonga/ Republica Popular da Xindonga. Much of the national dept of the local authoritarian regime is owned by Chinese Banks in Hong Kong and a Japanese Banks in Kyoto. Eternal-General-President Rinaldo Bosquimano later attempted to return to power, when he was possessed/ taken over as a host by a Clone of Ra found in an ancient tomb, but was stopped when Cavaleiro, a Jaffa Guard/ Knight Follower of the Tok’Ra Khonsu/ Khons/ Chons/ Khenzu managed to defeat him in battle and kill the Symbiote and his Host.
