Description
Spring time is when the blossoms bloom,
You can hear the song of the birds around,
There is nothing sinister to loom,
Or so I though until I suddenly hit the ground.

My world began to spin,
A shadow for many years had stalked me,
A game of chasey that I knew I would never win,
Today was the day and my last it would be.

It came not as many might guess,
It was not man, machine or beast,
But it gave pain and took life none the less,
In my suffering I can be thankful for one thing at least.

While I knew my time was limited at best,
I lived each day as everyone should,
With no regrets and to the fullest,
Everyone knew how much I loved them the best I could.

As I peer into the sky through the beautiful blooms,
It's almost like the tress are waving goodbye in the wind,
The end will surely come soon,
I couldn't help it but at the sight I grinned.

My eyes close and I depart for the eternal spring time.
