I made an African-American version of the character from Willy Wonka, different look, same television lover.

Unlike the original book and it's adaptions, Mike is 8-years-old(appears much smaller than the other children), extremely enthusiastic and slightly less intelligent. Like the 2005 film, he is from Denver, Colorado . He still watches a lot of television, as well as read comic books and play video games. His father is Tom TeeVee, owner of a television store called Tom's TV Inc. His mother is a geography teacher, whom mike would point out never knew what tv is let alone watches it. His also has a bad-tempered, selfish and disrespectful older brother(10-years-old).

He explained that he found the Golden Ticket when his father bought a Wonka chocolate bar for him one day. is accompanied in the factory by his father. He is friendly and polite to Charlie and the other ticket finders, except Veruca.

He still ends up shrunk when send himself by television via Wonkavision.
