Can I use these icons for (insert forum name), Facebook, Deviant Art, etc?
You are free to use these icons for any social networking site, forums, Steam, or any other service allowing for avatars. If somebody asks where you got it, be sure to link them back here.
Why is the resolution 4000x4000?
In order to ensure the finest quality with these icons, they were vector traced at 4000x4000 to get the best possible detail.
How can I use a 4000x4000 trace for an avatar on a forum that limits me to 100x100?
Open the image in your favorite paint program, and resize it to your needs. Most forums scale stuff automatically, but I recommend doing it yourself to reduce file sizes.
Why are they on a transparent background?
This is in case you wanted to add your own background to the image.
Will there be more of these icons?
Definitely. Future sets will focus on things like minor characters and background ponies, as well as collections for the main cast.
When will they be done?
They'll be done when I generally feel like it. Remember, this is all for fun. Pestering me to make more will not help.
Will
It depends. If a character has enough screen time to warrant multiple icons, they will get a collection of their own.

I watched the first two pilot episodes, and then the next two, sequentially, because my brother made me. They just, bore me. It feels like its made for little girls.

They didn't want to alienate the target audience, so if it is too primary in some aspects for you, I'm not surprised. A lot of what people get out of it, comes from a love of the charactes. Many watch it just for Pinkie's freak-outs. Others do it for the community and memes.
Less to pursuade you to watch the show, and more to alleviate your personal frustration with this phenomenon, I have a few things to recommend.

These are three of the better episodes. I'm not sure why, but the character interacterions are more nuanced, and the budget seems higher during this portion of the series.

I agree. I honestly watched the first episode through after it's popularity boomed, and (people are gonna hate me) it was pretty boring. I'm not ripping on this show or anything believe me.

The cartoon does wonders with facial expressions, that's one of the reasons characters have so many fans, they don't seem like hollow templates for girl shows, they have good developed personalities and their looks fit those personalities perfectly. It's great to have icons like this, so much variety!

hey don't diss the pony I actually watched an episode after seeing the new art that's been coming out. and it was surprisingly fun. and I believe that for a while the creator of fosters home for imaginary friends had her hand in the show. so I feel the fan art is merited.
