Description
A bronze statue of Fuji Sengen Jinja [富士浅間神社] in Fuji-Yoshida [富士吉田] City Japan. Asian Dragon has been one of the popular traditional motifs of Japanese religion, art and craft. There is sometimes a dragon on Chouzubachi[手水鉢]. Chouzubachi is a water vessel which is made from stone, located in Temizuya[手水舎] of Jinja (Japanese Shinto shrine). Chouzubachi are used by worshipers for washing their left hands, right hands, mouth and finally the handle of the water ladle to purify themselves before approaching the main Shinto shrine -Shaden [社殿]-.
This dragon is a water tap at Temizuya. Temizuya is a Shinto water ablution pavilion for a ceremonial purification rite known as temizu. Temizuya is usually an open area where clear water fills one or various stone basins. Wooden dippers are usually available to worshipers.
Fuji Sengen Jinja is located at the foot of Mt.Fuji (Fujisan)[富士山] -the most famous and highest mountain in Japan-. It was an entrance of a mountain trail of Mt.Fuji. Mt.Fuji is one of mountains of gods. Ancient worshipers climbed Mt.Fuji from this Jinja.

I have a whole collection of just Japanese things from tanto/multiple katana(s) (which ever would be the plural word for katana xD) to a book shelf of Samurai books from being about the Code all the way to just historical events and battles and training but I can't say i know everything and there's a lot I don't know but I'm always wanting to learn more

I'll take one too, but let me guess I can't have one and it's not for sale either...... I know but if you could purchase a replica of one I'd take it. If it wasn't too expensive

I'd love to travel around in Asia, I'm very interested in Japan for example
I'm hoping I'll be able to do so as soon as my fiancé has an income so we can save up some. I can't go alone 'cause she wants to travel there too

Indeed. Dragon Ball? Shenron originally means "god dragon".
Dragons are called "Ryuu" in Japanese, and "Long"(don't pronounce "g") in Chinese.

I think the most interesting things besides the dragon here are the little seals on the ceiling... you can really see their age. I'm amazed they held up so well over the years... they're doing their job very well then.

They are called Senjafuda. Senjafuda are stickers of a visitor's name. People put it on as a memory of worshipping the shrine.
