I finished school today and had the opportunity to stay until dismissal but I couldn't find the teacher I was going to stay with so my parents forced me to go home. I've been crying. I felt like i haven't said goodbye and this picture is kinda what I feel.

I read the story behind it, and I'm deeply sorry for you. I hope you'll find a way out of the present sorrow, toward a brighter future, even if now it's hard to see.
I can connect with this piece in another way. I've experienced two years of repeated loss now, with four funerals just a few months apart from each other. I feel death so heavy on my life. And I come from a city destroyed by an earthquake, so I was still mourning my lost world when this all started. And yet, I need to learn how to say goodbye, and look for the life that remains.
My prayers are with you, I hope your art will be a consolation and the spur for a new start.

This is extremely beautiful in such a heart-wrenching way. The personal story behind the artwork really got to me, as my mother and father recently went through a divorce that finally became confirmed only a couple of days ago. What made it worse was that my father was the one to file the divorce, leaving my mother alone with me and my three young siblings. I cry about it sometimes; sometimes I blame myself partially, but then again in the end I know and reassure myself that it was something between my parents and that I am not to blame for their splitting up. Though I can tell my mother is suffering, now having to work a job plus be in school plus raise me and my siblings, and I try my best to comfort her the best I can. So this artwork really touches me on an emotional level.
The image itself makes me tear up when I stare at it. It is just so beautiful...thank you for sharing a part of your heart with this community. Bless you.
