I know, rite? About freakin' time! Haha.
Truth is, I've been searching for a great picture of him to paint for almost a year and come up with nothing (sometimes I'd find an amazing picture, but the quality would be rubbish- too small/too blurry/to grainy/too scanned from a magazine etc.)
Fiiiinally came across this one [link] (by pure chance) and it just HAD to be done!
Loved the expression- it's very him, and the shadows were wonderfully dramatic, but complimenting
. I noticed it was taken in the 2001 era, so I decided to change him up a bit to the later 2007-2010 era.This is also the first time a painting had gotten the better of me and I actually (literally) cried over it. I was really struggling to get it right because all the details, shadows and sweat drops really caught me off guard. Just plain frustrating- plus it's getting to be a busy time of year and I just wanted to get this DONE

Airbrush, Dodge/Burn tool for detail and Sharpen/Blur tool for finishing touches!
Also with the help of Photoshop Skin texture brushes! Crucial tool for something like this!

I'm a huge Rammstein fan (Rammstein was probably in between the first industrial-type bands I was introduced to when I was about 16 or so, I'm 20 now XD) and this painting blew my breath away because my ex and I had such an obsession/puppy crush on Till Lindemann for the longest time. It's AMAZING all the details and the work down to the T. You're amazing!

Yesterday my boyfriend and I were obsessing over Rammstein as they're having a concert in our town (with insanely priced tickets!) and we're considering becoming dirt broke just to see them.
I didn't realize that he had such nice eyes...

They were here in my home city in January this year with the annual Music Festival (Big Day Out) that tours the country. They only play -once- in each city with the other bands, and it's the first time they have come back to Australia since 2001.
Unfortunately, the other bands that were playing with them were like, Tool, Deftones etc. so the tickets literally sold out in 7 minutes. 
I don't feel regret for not seeing them- just total disappointment. I never even had a chance for a ticket haha (plus it was well over 100 degrees that day- I could not survive in a mosh pit under that sun!)

That sounds like the concert from heaven. I LOVE Tool. But I have seen them once live before and I hate to say that their concert was the one that stands out least in my mind. It was just...entirely lacklustre. Which is depressing for me because Tool is my number one favorite. Ohwell. Guess they hit their concert prime in the 90's.
I'm buying tickets tomorrow. Just can't justify not buying them. I've even got my dad green with envy.

Yeah, when I saw clips of Tool playing at Big Day Out here, it just looked so...meh. They just...played haha. Nothing special. Even the Tool fans were disappointed and said Rammstein was WAY better (even though they didn't even go there to see them in the first place) 
I'm happy for you to get to go see them though. Hope you have an awesome time!!

I've seen them last week. My brother was lucky to get two normal-priced tickets via the Rammstein-community site. 70€ is still a lot of money, but considering the whole effort theyput into th shows...

The tickets we want are $130, so with taxes around $150 a piece. Yikes.
But after watching a bunch of youtube videos of their performances, I think that money would be well spent.
