Cade and her little kukuri pup Patience had unhitched their cargo on one of many travels from the ranch to one of the far off towns, planning to rest for the day before continuing their journey. As Cade unloaded the essentials from the wago, Patience scuttled off in order to raid some berry bushes just off the road.

The croco-taur paid this no mind, until a flurry of squeals and squeaks started up from the foliage - Patience charging out of the bushes, a bushel of berries in hand, and promptly clinging to Cade's leg. A few seconds after, a wild kukuri pup chased after her, apparently blinded to the handler in his fury that Patience had taken some of his berries.

First thought would be to chase the brat off but Cade saw this as an opportunity to teach Patience some backbone. Instead of swatting at the feral pup, Cade pushed Patience towards him with a paw.

"You gotta fight your own battles."
"If you don't like it, defend yourself."
