Hey, surprise! I got another one today!I made two renders since I wanted to show off the new rerig in both Cycles AND Eevee rendering engine. See, as a reminder, for a long time I was using an earlier bugged version of Blender that made Eevee unusable on my computer, but I fixed that up about 2 months back. It has been insanely helpful for fixing up and making new material nodes now that I can actually see in real time what the heck is going on. So, the rerig's new materials were actually optimized for Eevee, which is shown here. I of course had to do some late Cycles troubleshooting (You can see the wip with that in my upload from last week, which if you look closely, has Crash's shoes not reacting to light properly.), but I think his normal and bumpmaps shine the most here. I actually had plans to move to the eevee engine exclusively for this rerig here on out, but my friends told me cycles still looked better, so I'll switch between the two whenever I feel like with a preference to cycles (I mean, look at the nose here though! It looks so good!)
It's not that cycles is much of a problem to render in now anyway. What took 2-3 hours before I have sped up to only a half an hour! I know that's still alot for some people, but to me that is nothing. It, and the positive reception from twitter of course, has given me tons of motivation to render more often. Now, I'm not gonna guarantee anything more than the one per month I've already been doing, but don't be surprised if I end up posting more often!
