omg you have no idea how long this took me to finish.Sokka vs. the Melon Lord
Did anyone else think he was extremely badass here? Just me? Ok then. XD Anyhoo...I am so glad to have actually finished something that I stayed up late just to post it! :3

What's best about how you did this is you don't show his face, leaving it up to me to imagine how he looks, realizing he's told Aang to kill the Fire Lord, and that he is, by extension, committed to the same path. Dude.

DUDE ... this is totaly awesome and totaly true ... sokka totaly kicked butt in the finale and this part really showed his serious side
what i would like to see (if you have the time) is a head shot of Sokka's face as if the camera were behind melon lord ... like ... on the right side you see the back of melonlord's head and the slant reveals a portion of Sokka's badass "i'mma cut your head off and sleep like a baby tonight" face ... that would totaly make my day ... month ... YEAR

What I liked most about this scene was Sokka's "temporary personality change". You know, how he's always goofing off and making jokes, but there are moments(like these) that Sokka is....alluring, haha.

This is really nice! I like the motions with Sokka still in the motion of the swing.
The coloring is really great. The light pink colors for the sky and background allow the dark colors in the foreground like Sokka to standout well.
Oh yeah and once he was done taking a whack at the melon lord Momo licked the beheaded lord.

It was very tense ending to a otherwise hysterical sence. It really put the mission into prespetive, it wasn't a fun little game, it was a serious, life changing expreience, especialy for ones so young.

Wonderful work here Shimmer Star, I adore how you draw and paint Sokka. He looks so warrior strong here. I love his stance and the way the water melon flesh is dripping from his blade. That moment was very intense in the episode.

Damn, this is so good. I just love the pose and how you chose to have his back to the viewer. I just finished watching this series (yeah, I'm really behind) and I just loved Sokka. He was the goof in the group, but so consistently courageous. Wonderful work!

This scene totally highlighted the difference between Sokka and Aang and why they never saw completely eye-to-eye. Amazing detail work here...and the juice running down the sword is really good! Great job...you caught the subtle intensity of the scene...if you don't now what's going on it looks kind of funny (Come on...Melon Lord?) but if you know what's going on...then it's just a bit tragic. Super amazing job!
