These are so adorable! They should all be the same type as the original but be regional colored so it depends on where you catch it what color you get. When you breed them, you should have a 40% chance of it being the mom's color, 40% of being the dad's color, and the remaining 10% being a mix of the two. Shiny status should be the same ratio as for all the other Pokemon, but be independent of the regional coloring. So a mixed shiny one would be super super super rare!

I was thinking of having them to be the same type as well, but the Alola Meowth is dark type, so I don't know o.o But I really like your idea, it'd be so great!
