. "Double Sunday" Hi guys!!! this is my first time drawing a doujin!!! hope that you like it and please let me know what you think about it ^^ I've decided to bring Raditz back to life!!! So he can make lot of "new friends" and have fun now that he is unemployed, well at least he don't have to follow Vegeta's orders anymore. I don't think it was any different from what he said to Yamcha on screen. People tend to forget that Yamcha was kind of sensitive, and Bulma was his first girlfriend and first pretty girl he was comfortable being around. So getting berated constantly by Vegeta, reminded constantly how inadequate he was, and the fact that Bulma had no faith in Yamcha and started eyeing Vegeta openly in front of Yamcha was a great blow to his self-esteem.
If anyone remembers, Bulma said on the first episode "I THINK Yamcha is cheating on me." Which basically means she dumped Yamcha because she thought so. Now this is just the Funimation Dub I'm referencing, but if it's in the manga and Jap dub, then my impression of Yamcha is spot on. To me it never made sense that Yamcha was a wuss around pretty females in Dragon Ball, but then suddenly turned into a giant ladies man by Dragon Ball Z. I usually chalk this behavior down to Yamcha was trying to 'fake it to make it' so to speak. Trying to be this confident and cocky guy just so he still felt relevant, because if I remember correctly, even by the 22nd Budokai in the manga and anime series he was becoming the joke he is today.

Nah it's not in the manga/Jap dub. In the manga, Bulma's just pissed at him, but she doesn't say why. In the Jab dub, she's pissed because he stood her up on a date haha... Bulma actually never did accuse Yamcha of cheating, at that point. In Dragon Ball, she was just pissed off he had a huge female fan club at school and in DBZ, he stood her up.
It's only during Trunks' revelation that we hear of Yamcha cheating (mileenacroft.tumblr.com/image/… ). Yamcha's Jap voice actor said that Toriyama confirmed the same thing to him (www.kanzenshuu.com/translation… ).
But like you said, Bulma did probably have an eye for Vegeta, which probably led to Yamcha cheating and the subsequent demise of their relationship (thus I don't entirely blame him).

I've paired him with Bulma for a long time if it's not a crossover (then he's with anyone and everyone, honestly because I headcanon him as the greatest spacewhore in the universe) but I have to admit that the Launch pairing is really growing on me.
