whew! thought i might never get back around to this, but here he is in all of his firey colorlyness. anyway, this is a character from Cross Canticle (if you haven't read that from the WIP version, heh..), and a really important one too. sadly its gonna be quite a while before we meet him, but i really wanted to draw his design out anyway :> . yes, he -is- on fire. and no, that's not why he's sad. (though.. id be sad if i was on fire.)drawn on card stock! tools-
0.7 mechanical pencil - doesnt bake cookies. darnit!
open canvas 4+ - inking and detailing
adobe photoshop 7.0 - base colors and finishing effects/touches.
character, art, design, etc - mine!
time - i guess it churned out pretty quick once i got going, but i never keep track. aiya.

I would be lying if I said this work didn't encourage me to move one step further. Just simply great, I definately admire your work. Hopefully soon I'll have some art up, but I'm just getting into coloring my pictures, which seems to be a pain.

A love the design and colouring. Just one thing, approx. along his line of site in the cloudy part it looks like you can see some eraser marks. Otherwise its another unbelieveably good piece.

Cross Canticle? Never heard of it, but I think I'll look into it. This picture is inspiring and exceptionally well done. I love it! Though, I prefer to imagine he's coming out of some white, glowy mist rather than being on fire...that was a surprise to me...
