3/3 waist up commissions for

*BG inspired by Rosuuri Rapunzel Nozomi *
2nd time I've tried this kinda lighting ; v ; spent so many times getting frustrated and redoing at the beginning OTL but then after getting through that part eveything else just started coming naturally
I really liked how this came out even though I'll be honest I kinda halfassed the bg

How long does pixeling take?
Nice choice of having the sun in the background so you didn't have to fill the space.

hahah yeah sometimes have a place for the eyes to rest is good especially when there's a lot going on already
completing pixel art can really depend on how much details you're willing to put into it
If you're planning to do no animation or only animations in the eyes then you can easily get that done within like 30mins, no distractions/breaks , this is if you plan to only do simple cell shading. If you plan to add more details like sparkles and shiny stuff, w.e your style is then that can take slightly longer maybe 30-50mins
If you plan to animate more than just the eyes then imagine that each time you animate one more thing(hair, arms,body,head,legs etc) you're essentially creating more work for yourself and thus increasing the amount of time you work on it.
You have to do a lot of checking (especially if you're inexperienced with animating) to make sure the animation frames are flowing the way you want it to and smoothly. If something looks odd/weird/incorrect then you needa go back and fix it and recheck the animations again.
After that you can begin to colour it. If you're lazy you can probably just do a flat base colour for all the frames and call it a day.

This type of shading makes it's easier/ faster to deal with and you can really focus on animating the object/item
If you wanna put more details then you gotta remember you also have to do it for all the frames you've created and recheck multiple times to make the shading all line up and transitions smoothly to the next frame. You can't just randomly shade it and hope for the best cause that'll make the whole pixel animation come out weird, despite you having a solid animation with just the lineart
TL;DR
the more details you wanna put the longer the the completion will take, the more frames you create, the longer it'll take
the more frames and details you create, the even longer it'll take ^^/
mistakes here and there? more time it'll take cause you needa fix them.

It might also depend on how big the canvas is. Generally I see pixel images being much smaller but maybe I haven't seen what a gargantuan pixel image looks like yet.

Good luck for backgrounds, at first I didn't liked doing them, but because I kept drawing them I ended up liking it ahah xD

yeahh I find that usually a lot of people don't enjoy trying/working with something they're not really used to/good at cause no one likes to show off their weak points I guess right? but at the same time , v , it's like if you wanna get good at something ya gotta keep going and trying to work on that area. Eventually you'll start getting better at it and when that happens I think thats when we can really start enjoying working on the things we used to hate xD?
