okay, so, even though this is sort of a portrait of hizumi from d'espairs ray, i figured it would be best to submit it into the macabre/horror section. i think it fits better there0_o
this picture is meaningful to me, and im not one of those good artists who knows exactly what it feels like to me, it just feels that way and i cant describe it better than the picture portrays, so if you must know, just use your imagination! (ill probably figure it out in a week or so
)hmm...whenever i listen to marilyn manson i get the most disturbing inspiration, not necessarily because its usually kinda obscene, lol, just so intense i wanna draw something right away, and if i dont get to im in a horrible mood all day.
anyway, this portrait is very loosely done, i wasn't really looking for accuracy as far as it being exactly like the picture, and i changed a few things. i dont feel like linking, so if you really wanna see him(the original picture), just go to google and type in hizumi, itll be one of the first pictures most likely

is such a nice touch! You took it and did something creative with the
image.. .*0*; It looks great. but in most digital pieces I like
sharp focus. I think sinc eyou used Painter...it came out just a little blurry.
but I guess it gives a nice feeling overall. ^--^;
Also, his 'heart' is centered in his body. >__<; Was it as an artistic reason?

thanx! the blurriness was intentional, i wanted it more painterly than realistic. the heart is placed where it is for good reason^_^ mostly because it felt more right there then it did in the proper place, which is wierd...but true. i dunno, with these kinds of pieces, i cant explain the reasoning for what i do except that it feels right

The beaten face brings alot of emotion to this picture. I like how you used red and black to go with the face showing some kind of pain or terror maybe...dunno, but its well composed. The eyes are one of the best features of the face. Very cryptic. Nice job.

I don't kno if you intended to, or it's just me, but the red thing in the middle of his body looks like a dragon. O rsome sort of powerful, reptilian creature. I really like the way it's continuation (of the red) seems to be outside of his body, as though a force lingers around.
