Music in mind for this deviation: Main Theme (Street Fighter X Mega Man)

In 2012, Mega Man and Street Fighter celebrated their 25th anniversary together... although for Mega Man, there wasn't anything special for him to do at that time. Luckily, a fan made game for the PC was being made by someone and was eventually being endorsed and approved by Capcom itself, thus releasing it on the Capcom website... for free.

This one is mostly a Mega Man game, but to which Mega Man himself has to fight... eight combatants from the Street Fighter series itself. That's right. Mega Man battled the fighters of the Street Fighter saga itself, meaning that he took on Ryu, Blanka, Dhlasim, Chun-Li, Rolento, Urien, Crimson Viper and Rose, although he had to get across several obstacles and enemies in order to get to them. Defeating them would allow Mega Man to absorb their abilities and use them against the other combatant that he would take on next. Just like in a normal Mega Man game when he absorbed the Robot Masters' weapons, only now, it's the Street Fighters' abilities that he would get. Dan appears in this one, but he's mostly the training dummy for when Mega Man demonstrates the use of his absorbed ability.

After taking down the eight fighters, it's on to fight... the evil Shadaloo organization itself. Yep, there's no Dr. Wily on this game, nor any Proto Man or Bass at all, although Rush appears in there. Anyway, Shadaloo's villains Balrog, Vega and M. Bison are there, as are Sagat and Akuma, but the last two are mostly hidden. And getting to them is not as simple as it looks, as you need to score perfect battles against the eight fighters and possibly the two Shadaloo bosses before getting to them.

Anyway, this artwork showcases Mega Man and Ryu going at it. I have not played that one, but i heard that it was a really tough game. Heh, since when Mega Man games were considered easy, huh? Regardless, here they are in action... and soon to be for their 30th anniversary too.
