Description Hal'mythrus, The Silver Vengeance, sister blade to Lyndeshita, and the primary weapon of Lady Steel, is an ancient elven weapon with a mirror bright blade of gleaming mythril, which ignites in a pale blue flame when drawn and emits a chill so deep, it burns to the touch. The hilt is also a mirror bright silver, with a cobalt blue leather grip, and electrum plated highlights.

Hal'mythrus is an ancient blade, forged during the first half of the Necrite Wars of elven history. One of a series of blades crafted by the battlemage Kathuis Dri’marath, these brethren included the Warleader’s blade Gruumishalin, which slew the Half orc warlord Torak, and Lyndeshita, the Princess consort’s blade which was lifted in battle by the king’s own wife and bodyguard. Infused with the silver fury of the battlemage against those who would defile his home, it possessed a bloody existence from the moment it first was drawn. Hal'mythrus was forged for use by the commander of the Hawkmasks, an order of elven nobles who rode white chargers into battle and wore gleaming silver full platemail with helms fashioned like stylized hawks. Known for their battle prowess and devotion, this order was considered to be an unofficial extension of the palace guard by the elven people. The commander of the order, a woman named Kry’estiia Q’varellee was considered almost a legend in her time to the elven people and was thought to be the next in line for the Council seat of her family. Her sister Thalindra was the Princess consort to the king, and it was well believed that one day the family might become the ruler’s of the elven people.
When the first half of the Necrite Wars came to an end, Kry’estiia and her order had played no small part in the victory. Life seemed to stabilize and move back into what it once was for a too brief year before the terror that was Eldine brought forth his second phase for elven genocide. In one swift and deadly attack he succeeded in killing the Warleader Dalinor Ari’Telmithus, decimating the Hawkmask ranks, and would have slain the king himself if not thwarted by the Princess consort Thalindra at the cost of her own life. Kry’estiia took Lyndeshita from the bloody and lifeless fingers of her sister and claimed it for her own. When the elven heroine Gamiela Ari’Telmithus came to the Council to plead for alliance with the dwarves and humans to combat the threat of Eldine, among the strongest objections came from the silver warrior cradling a blood streaked sword in her hands. By Kry’estiia’s vehemence was the motion stopped and the alliance denied, causing Gamiela to go against the wishes of the Council and bring back the mage known as Nakor of the Seven Spells. Finally seeing the need for allies, the Council re voted and welcomed the dwarves and humans to their cities. Foretelling the utter destruction of the elven people by this act, Kry’estrii stood in front of the Council and called for remembrance of all the lives lost and given that their ways might remain intact before leaving the city forever. Forsaking family name and order, Kry’estrii now called herself Lady Steel and wore both her own blade and her fallen sister’s at her waist as she waged a personal war against Eldine and his forces. When the Necromancer was finally defeated by Gamiela and her comrades, Lady Steel moved on to other battlefields, spilling the blood of any non elven race with equal viciousness. As the years passed and the kingdoms of Auroradawnus drew borders across the land, Lady Steel eventually settled in the Warlord baronies of Skarsla, becoming just another Baroness who slaughtered their neighbors for amusement and personal gain. Now, centuries later, she still wields Hal'mythrus in battle and still harbors hatred for any non elven creature in her heart. Old even beyond the span of an elf, Lady Steel remains alive through the magic of her armor and the sheer will of anger, her battle skill only increased by centuries of conflict.
