You know, I've been wondering about that... Are cat tails really that controllable? Cuz all I've seen all three of my kitties do is hold it up in the air and swing it back and forth... Maybe they're just boring kitty cats...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DexAntares In reply to brokenlittledoll [2009-09-23 03:15:50 +0000 UTC]

My guess would be no. A cat's tail is a balance apparatus, not a prehensile limb like a chimp's. I don't think they have the flexibility and grip strength for it... but it's fun to think they do, right? Besides, if you really wanna make the argument, you can say that the human-aspects of an anthro-tigress such as this are enabling a stronger, more flexible tail. That's what I'd say anyway. After all, a prehensile tail is a primate trait, yes?

brokenlittledoll In reply to DexAntares [2009-09-23 03:42:21 +0000 UTC]

That makes sense. I didn't think an actual cat's tail was that flexible. I've seen a few cat skeletons, and the way the joints are put together just don't allow for it, and there's next to no muscle at all in the tail itself...

Which reminds me, I want a pet spider monkey.

Huh... stubby lil' things. Y'know, it's weird. Before I actually saw one, I thought a chinchilla was some sort of lizard.

Maxamillion2009 In reply to Keiichi-K1 [2009-10-03 16:50:21 +0000 UTC]

Depends on who's perspective you look at. In example, although he pretty much can't see them anyways, Dragon is NOT looking at her eyes.
