"There are many dogs in New York today preparing for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Dhow," reports a slender woman. "Their owners have traveled all over the country to find out if their pooch will be awarded best in show." In front of the reporter, is a chubby camera man holding the rectangular box on his shoulder, keeping it in focus of the woman as she continues talking about the show.

"With me I have Shoshelet Batdance, or as his owners call him, Batty." The camera pans down to a cream and white dog, he looks unimpressed, it then pans back to the reporter. "I also have Ms. Pearl Jaclyn, Batty's handler and co-owner. Ms. Jaclyn could you tell us a little bit about Batty's breed?"

Batty, still unimpressed dramatically sighs as his handler begins to ramble about Canaan dogs, if he were human he could say it for her, but he's a dog and dogs don't speak English.

"In fact the Canaan Dog is one of the few breeds where dogs born in the wild can be introduced through a formal process into purebred lines." Jaclyn continues, "Batty's grandmother was actually one of the recently re-domesticated Canaans!"

The camera then pans back down to Batty, even though his grandmother was desert bred he was just as, if not more, sophisticated as any other dog competing. He raises a brow and tilts his head at the black box.

"That is so interesting! Before we go, can I ask one more question?" The reporter asks.

"Of course!" Batty glares at his handler, he isn't a fan of strangers especially eccentric ones that waste his time when he could be doing more valuable things, like sniffing the ground and finding out if the poodle perched on top of a grooming table across from them was in heat.

"Is Batty a fan of Prince as his name suggests?" The reporter laughs.

"No." Batty thinks, his registered name truly makes him seem like a joke in front of all these dogs.

"Oh he loves listening to Prince, especially on long car rides to shows!" Jaclyn laughs back.

"Bitch." He thinks, again dogs can't talk, if he could he'd say it aloud.
