When Link told Zelda about Eventide Island and the way he had to survive without any regular equipment, clothing, weapons or items, Zelda decided that she wanted to join him there for a couple of days, to have a similar experience. So for a while, they dropped their responsibilities as hero and princess of Hyrule and became the rulers of Eventide.

Zelda never had this much fun in her entire life.
