I volunteered to photograph dogs-in-need for my local animal shelter this holiday season. Diamond is a McNab mix resident of my local animal shelter. As a puppy living in the shelter, she has had to deal with more stress in her 10-month life than most dogs I know. This little girl is a dog I'll never forget, simply because she is grateful for every moment spent outside of her small kennel with humans. She deserves a home for Christmas, and I only hope more people consider a shelter as their first place to add a furry companion to their families. It's so much more rewarding to adopt than buy a dog from a backyard breeder, or pet sore that gets puppies from puppy mills.
