Its the big night for 2 of Ponyville's favorite background ponies. The Doctor is all spruced up with a hat on his head and a song in his heart, err hearts, but what about Derpy...These comics are taking a long while with all the things Im doing but Im happy to report that Ill be half way complete with the next page so just to show you that I am doing this, I posted this as a little teaser. The Date wont start until we see Derpy so dont worry. Well have plenty of pages to see what happens.

Is there a reason you're using both the Ditzy Doo and Derpy Hooves names?

Cause in my fanon, Ditzy is her real name while Derpy Hooves is a name given by friends. It used to be a name to make fun of her with but she kinda grew into it so now its just a nickname.

Amethyst Star, she's commonly depicted as Derpy's daughter because we know her and dinky are sisters (from sister hooves social) and people assume dinky is Derpy's daughter.

If they're going to have Dinky be Derpy's daughter then I'd prefer they do since from the show Amethyst seems as old if not older than Derpy...so it wouldn't make sense for her to be Derpy's daughter.

IIRC, the idea took off after Call of the Cutie, when fans noticed Derpy/Ditzy at the "cuteceaΓ±era" party, for which the most obvious rationalization involves her being related to a foal or filly of the host's age who was invited. Fans also noticed a little unicorn filly in the party with a similar mane, and dubbed her 'Dinky', Derpy/Ditzy's daughter. The elder unicorn was added to the family by Sisterhooves Social, when they noticed she and Dinky were one of the teams competing in the event.
